Rosebank was originally a part of a farm named, Rosemill Orchards under the ownership of Mr Lorenco. Two decades into the 20th century the City Council changed street names in honour of World War 1 British Admirals. Cecil Behrmann was one of the first developers in the area and in 1950 construction in Rosebank began. He eventually sold out of the area but growth continued as the area appealed to many developers. Today, it is embraced by a trendy and upmarket atmosphere and is in close proximity to the Gautrain Station.
